Privacy Policy

How Hookline handles account information, uploaded media, AI processing, billing data, analytics, retention, and privacy rights.

Effective September 12, 2026Last updated September 26, 2026Applies to Hookline and FixYourHook.com

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how WHIPLASH LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Hookline and operating FixYourHook.com ("Hookline," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you visit the website, create an account, purchase credits or a subscription, upload media, create custom creators or openers, create hooks, or otherwise use the service.

Hookline is intended for business and professional use by adults. This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service and Age and Minor Safety Policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information

We may receive your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication status, profile information, and related account metadata from you or our authentication provider.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Hookline receives billing identifiers, subscription status, purchase status, price tier, billing period information, and limited payment-related metadata. Hookline does not need to store your full payment card number.

Content you provide

We process content you upload or create through Hookline, including app or SaaS information, screen recordings, videos, images, logos, creator reference images, custom opener instructions, prompts, scripts, audio, and other media or text you submit.

Created content

We store information about hooks, creator assets, project records, processing jobs, output media, and related metadata so we can deliver the service and let you access your work.

Usage and technical information

We may process product interaction events, feature usage, credit activity, error and diagnostic information, browser or device information, timestamps, referral or campaign information, and standard network information processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.

Hookline may process facial images or other likeness material when you intentionally provide it for creator features. Hookline does not use those materials to identify or authenticate a person. They are processed to provide the creative service you requested.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Hookline.
  • Authenticate users and maintain workspaces.
  • Create requested hooks, creator assets, transcripts, and related media.
  • Process subscriptions, credit purchases, renewals, cancellations, and account entitlements.
  • Track credit balances, storage usage, job status, and technical retries.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, harmful content, and violations of our policies.
  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy, legal, copyright, or security requests.
  • Analyze product performance using first-party analytics and, if you opt in, measure advertising visits and conversions with Meta.
  • Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect Hookline, users, and third parties.

4. AI and model processing

Hookline uses third-party infrastructure and AI services to create and process content. Depending on the feature and current configuration, content may be transmitted to Runware and models or providers associated with OpenAI, Google, Kling AI, ByteDance Seedance, Fish Audio, or other service providers that Hookline uses to perform the requested task.

Those providers may receive prompts, reference images, media, audio, or other information needed to complete the request. Their processing is governed by their agreements with Hookline and, where applicable, their own privacy and security terms.

Hookline does not use customer content to train a Hookline-owned foundation model unless we first obtain permission or clearly disclose a materially different practice. We cannot promise that every third-party model provider handles data identically, so you should not upload confidential, regulated, or sensitive material unless you are authorized to do so and the use is appropriate for those services.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate Hookline, including authentication, hosting, database and private media storage, billing, AI and media processing, monitoring, customer support, and related infrastructure providers. Current providers may include Clerk, Supabase, Stripe, Replit, Runware, and AI model providers used through Hookline's processing stack.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse, enforce agreements, protect rights or safety, or complete a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Hookline does not sell personal information for money. We do not use customer-uploaded media as an advertising audience product. When Meta advertising measurement is enabled, we may share limited visit, attribution, and conversion information with Meta for ad measurement unless you have turned it off; we do not send prompts, uploaded media, creator images, or private project URLs for that purpose.

6. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

Hookline and its providers may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies for authentication, security, theme and preference settings, attribution, analytics event deduplication, and core product functionality.

Hookline uses first-party product analytics independently of advertising measurement. When enabled, Meta advertising measurement is on by default. Hookline may use the Meta Pixel and server-side conversion measurement to understand whether visits and completed conversions resulted from our marketing. Meta may receive page-view and conversion event details, timestamps, network/browser information, and permitted campaign or browser identifiers. Hookline does not send customer prompts, uploaded media, creator images, or private project URLs to Meta for this purpose. You can turn Meta measurement off below. An earlier choice to turn it off in this browser remains in effect. Authentication and billing providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies.

You can change your Meta measurement setting below. It is saved in this browser and, if you are signed in, synchronized with your account when available. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to opt out of certain targeted-advertising, sale, or sharing practices; submit a request through the Contact page. First-party product analytics are managed separately and continue where appropriate.

When enabled, OpenAI ChatGPT Ads measurement uses the same advertising measurement choice below, not a separate consent system. Turning measurement off here disables both Meta and OpenAI advertising measurement. An earlier choice to turn it off remains effective. OpenAI may receive page-view and completed-conversion details, timestamps, and permitted ad-reference and browser-reference identifiers (oppref, __oppref, and __obref) through its Pixel and server-side Conversions API. Hookline does not send raw email addresses, names, phone numbers, prompts, uploaded media, or private project URLs to OpenAI for advertising measurement. Essential account and billing cookies and first-party product analytics are unaffected by this choice.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Generated output videos are currently subject to a 90-day expiration policy unless a different period is shown in the product.
  • Uploads, creator references, generated creator images, project data, and other media may remain while your account or related project remains active, until you delete them, or until Hookline removes them under a retention or storage policy.
  • Billing, fraud-prevention, security, transaction, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary.
  • Deleted information may persist for a limited period in backups, logs, provider systems, or legally required records before it is fully removed.

You may request account or personal-data deletion through the process described on the Contact page. We may need to retain limited records where required or permitted by law.

8. Security

Hookline uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Current controls include private media storage, workspace-scoped media paths, access controls, authenticated account access, provider-managed payment processing, and encrypted transport where supported by the service and infrastructure.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

9. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to Hookline, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal or object to certain processing. You may also have rights concerning targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information, or certain automated processing where applicable.

We may verify your identity before completing a request and may deny or limit requests where permitted by law. Authorized agents may be required to provide evidence of authority.

Submit privacy requests through the Contact page using the subject Privacy Request.

10. Minors

Hookline is not intended for children or teenagers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Hookline.

Users may not knowingly upload creator reference media of a person under 18 or use Hookline to create content depicting a minor. See the Age and Minor Safety Policy for additional requirements.

11. International data transfers

Hookline and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When required, applicable providers may rely on contractual or other lawful transfer mechanisms. By using Hookline, you understand that information may be processed outside your home jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Hookline changes. We will revise the date at the top and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects your rights.
